Introduction to Fashion Design
Course Description
This course provides a broad introduction to the field of fashion design from a Christian perspective. Students will explore the role of fashion in culture, the history of fashion, and the integration of faith and creativity. The course covers fundamental fashion concepts including design principles, textile knowledge, and basic garment construction. Through case studies and projects, students will learn about fashion challenges and opportunities in Kenya and globally. The course also emphasizes the importance of ethical fashion and reflecting God's creativity through design. By the end of the course, students will have a solid understanding of fashion design principles and be prepared for more specialized studies in fashion technology.
