Fashion Design and Pattern Making
Course Description
This course focuses on the creative and technical aspects of fashion design and pattern making. Students will learn about fashion illustration, design development, pattern drafting, and grading. The course covers the behavior of fabrics and designs under various conditions. Through computational exercises and projects, students will develop skills in creating original designs and producing professional patterns. The course emphasizes the application of design principles and pattern making techniques to create garments that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional in the Kenyan context. By the end of the course, students will be able to design and produce patterns for various types of garments.
