Crisis Intervention and Trauma Support
Course Description
This course provides a comprehensive study of chaplaincy in crisis situations and trauma support. Students will learn about crisis intervention models, trauma informed care, spiritual first aid, and disaster response. The course examines the challenges of providing spiritual care in crisis and trauma settings in Kenya. Through case studies and field visits, students will gain practical experience in crisis chaplaincy and trauma support. The course emphasizes the importance of self-care for chaplains and collaboration with other professionals in crisis situations. By the end of the course, students will be able to provide effective spiritual care in crisis and trauma situations.
